فکوری / Friday, March 24, 2017 / Categories: News Monthly inflation rate stands at 6.8% The overall index in the present month, spanning from February 19 to March 20, has reached 240.7 showing a one-percent growth as compared to the previous month. The index volume has risen by 8% as compared to the corresponding period a year ago. Percentage of change in the total index of inflation in the twelve-month period leading to the current month has been 6.8% as compared to the same period last year though the figure has remained constant compared to the same notice in the previous Iranian calendar month. In the present month, index of food, beverages and tobacco rose 291.9 revealing a 3.4% increase compared to the previous month. Index of food, beverages and tobacco also grew by 12.8% compared with the same month last year. Percentage change in the same group during the twelve months leading to the ongoing Persian months has been 7.6% in comparison to the same period of the previous year. In the meantime, the index for main food group was 290.1 indicating a growth of 3.6% as compared to the previous month and a 12.9-percent rise in comparison to the same period last year. The twelve-month inflation rate in the same group stood at 7.4 per cent. Meanwhile, the non-food goods and services experienced an index of 223.1 in the current months showing a 0.1% downfall as compared to the previous months and a 6-percent growth as compared to the same period a year ago. The inflation rate for the same group in the 12-month period stood at 6.4 per cent.
